Join us for the launch of the African Hub on AI Safety, Peace and Security

The University of Cape Town, in collaboration with the Global Center on AI Governance, aim to address the urgent risks and opportunities posed by AI in African contexts. This hub is part of the Artificial Intelligence for Development (AI4D), funded by the UK government's Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and Canada's International Development Research Centre (IDRC). 

Anchored at the University of Cape Town and co-led by the Global Center on AI Governance, the hub will advance research, policy and capacity to ensure Africa’s priorities are represented in global AI safety debates, while strengthening democratic resilience, peace, and inclusive development across the continent.
